| Now, should everyone give the tank like 3-6 sec to grab aggro before they start to mob the mobs? Low level 70's dungeons in Northrend. I was doing a good job (I thought) in UK and our healers kept leaving after we wipe. Everyone started whaling right when I went in. |

Well the three second rule isn't just for food. It really depends on which class is tanking but I generally go with a three second rule (unless jay is tanking as I just like to make his life more difficult). _________________ You can't just go around helping people. |

Depending on what class you are tanking with. If its a warrior then yes 3 seconds is about right. IF its a Pally or DK, then not as much time is needed because of the AOE aggro.
Make sure your tanking gear us up to par, gear is HUGE for tanks (of any class) if you cant take the hits and the healer is spam healing you then your gear might be lacking.

Problem is with LFG being cross server now no one waits for the tank to so much as look at a mob before they lay into them. Best thing I've found is as soon as you zone in go after the first pack of mobs, get the jump on the dps if you will.
Most the times though if you see them going after stuff or not letting you at least hit the mob first a friendly warning is necessary. If they fail to comply I typically will let them just die. The healer is the only one i'll bother with protecting if the dps is being dumb.
The good thing about queueing as a tank too is you can always get a group quickly so no worries if you have to boot someone or get into a new group.

I was poking at you Phil It looked as I was spamming, but you were beaconed so you got healed each time I was healing someone, which was all the time _________________ Ziam

It is a life saver when you are healing in a not so geared group. _________________ Shadowpound Level 80 Tauren Warrior (Herb/Alch)
