i loves my puter for it's multitasking abilities
i often watch tv(tv tuner)
play wow
have a website up for checking hockey scores
all while pretending to listen to the wife smile
she often walks in looks at the dual screens and other tv running says jebus and leaves the room tongue

It's a laptop with a 10 key smile
I runs wow faster than any desktop I've tried
I just found out my battery has been over heating for two years and I can get a free replacement lol
I've had zero problems with two years of heavy use (aside from said battery)

Yeah, I dropped over a little over a grand on my laptop last year. I have no problems with other than I have to use a towel so my left hand doesn't get burned on it when I use my keyboard. I have cooling fans undernether which help but still runs a little hot after an hour of wow or so.

If I had the money I'd go build me another puter. Sadley my funds are insufficent. I really want to, if nothing esle to get out of Vista. Ohh Vista, how I loathe you.

Have you done the service packs for Vista? SP1 made dramatic improvements with it.

Brad try taking the battery out and running just off AC if that fixes the heat issue your battery is faulty, most have free replacements too. if you're like me and rarely run off battery power just run it without the battery in and you're all set.

Jay I'll have to try that as 99% of the time I'm using AC anyways.

Yeah I have SP1 but I still have issues with getting updates. To be honest though I have been put off by Vista for so long that even if they gave me a copy of Windows 7 and told me it was Vista I'd hate it just out of spite.

My understanding is that they're just as easy to work with, but a pain in the arse for parts because everything needs to be blessed (ie: $) by Apple in order to work.
